EP. 011
AI for Solo Founders
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2026
OpenAI shipped over 20 things yesterday. This might be one of the biggest launches of the year.
My personal favorite is called dots. I'll show you what I've got mine doing.
You also get the prompt behind the Hotel Lobby trend that's all over your feed, and the skill I use to turn anything I build into a launch video.
One of our Dojo members took last week's prompt and built her own app.
And the Dojo goes to $79 tomorrow.
Huge week. Let's get into it.
THIS WEEK IN AI
1
Why it matters: OpenAI says it nearly matches GPT-6 Astra on coding, computer use and professional work, at one-fifth of Astra's price.
For you that means Astra-level work without paying Astra money. If you build with the API, this is your new default.

2
Why it matters: A shared workspace where your team, ChatGPT and your dots work on the same projects, with docs that hold charts, checklists and dashboards.
If you're solo, your dot is the team.

Why it matters: Pro 500 comes with the highest usage limits OpenAI offers. Ultrafast runs up to 8x faster in Codex.
Most of you don't need it. If you live in Codex all day, it's worth a look.

TOOL OF THE WEEK
dots (by OpenAI)
ChatGPT's new always-on agent.
dots checked me in for my flight.
It sent the boarding pass straight to my Apple Wallet, planned my drive time and my route to the airport, then booked my airport parking.
Here's the part that got me. It didn't have my passport number. So it went digging, found it in an old email, and used that to check me in.
Completely proactive. It knew I had a flight based on my emails, figured out everything that needed to happen, and handled all of it on its own.
That's the difference. ChatGPT waits for you to ask. A dot knows your goals, your context, and every app you've connected, so it gets ahead of you.
All I had to do was show up.
Verdict: you need to try this, it is honestly WILD. Super impressive!

PROMPT OF THE WEEK
The Hotel Lobby swap
You've seen it all over your feed. Two people dancing to Migos' "Hotel Lobby," and then it's you and your buddy.
It's Higgsfield. Select the Higgsfield Genjutsu model, upload a photo of each person plus the original clip, then paste this. Image 1 replaces the person on the left, Image 2 the person on the right.
Higgsfield Genjutsu with the Hotel Lobby prompt loaded, the swapped video of Justyn and a friend on orange, and Justyn explaining it on camera
Inside Higgsfield Genjutsu. Two photos and one clip in.
The characters from @[Image 1] and @[Image 2] perform the exact same movements as the people in @[Video 1], matching every motion, timing and rhythm. Smooth, grounded movement. Consistent lighting. Camera and framing follow @[Video 1]. No identity drift. No extra people.

COPY · PASTE · REPLACE THE BRACKETS
The /brag site: you built it, now brag. A Claude Code skill that turns your project into a twenty-second launch video.
SKILL OF THE WEEK
/brag
Free and open source. Runs in Claude Code or Codex.
Build something, type /brag, get a twenty-second launch video.
It reads your project's code directly. No screen recording, no screenshots, no live URL. It writes the plan, picks the music, builds the motion graphics, and hands you an MP4 plus the copy to post with it.
By far the best AI video editing skill I've tried.
If you're building apps for your people like I am, this is how you show them off.
Verdict: Install it. Every build deserves a launch video, and now it takes one command.

What Readers Say
“I followed the prompt and... Justyn sent an email yesterday about how he created his own Pomodoro, so I took on the challenge and made one myself. Yes, 30 min took 3 hours, but I had so much fun in the process.”

The Dojo goes to $79 tomorrow
Today's the last day to get in at $59 a month. Tomorrow it's $79 for the next 50 members, then $99 once we hit 150.
Already inside? Your price doesn't change.
Every week I'm building apps like that Pomodoro timer and giving them to members first. Plus live 90 minute coworking sessions and the Tuesday Q&A.
