AI for Solo Founders

This was a genuinely exciting week.
Somebody in my community built a tool I would have paid for. ChatGPT went completely unlimited on every plan, free accounts included. And Claude Code stops asking your permission on Friday.
There's also the system I've been running all week that turns one dictated sentence into a finished script. Hooks, caption, recording notes, the lot. All three files are yours at the bottom, free.

OpenAI is removing the caps on text chats for everyone, free accounts included. Free and Go also get a new default model, GPT-5.6 Luna, plus a Think button that pushes harder on the complicated stuff. Plus and Pro get an updated Sol with a slider for how much thinking you want. Factual errors are down 62 percent on Luna and 68 percent on Sol against the old model. The practical version: "I hit my limit" is gone as an excuse, and if you've been telling people they need to pay to get real work out of ChatGPT, that stopped being true this week.

Auto mode becomes the default for Pro, Max and Team on August 14. Claude runs the whole task and only stops for things that are irreversible, destructive, or reaching outside your environment. Anthropic's reasoning is that people were already approving 97 percent of prompts anyway. Two minutes of setup before Friday: move your API keys out of your project folder and set your deny rules.

Voice picked up file uploads and Projects support. You can be in a voice conversation, drop in a document, and talk about what's in it. Small update, bigger than it sounds. I do most of my work by talking at these tools instead of typing, and the gap has always been that the second you needed a file in the conversation you were back on the keyboard. That gap just closed.

Rob's in the AI Dojo. He's been writing his first book, a memoir, and he tried the usual suspects, traditional writing software and the AI ones. Same problem every time. They all wanted to write it for him.
He wanted the opposite. Stay the author, and have something help him hold the structure together, keep the story straight, and catch where the details stopped lining up.
So he built it. No app building experience, no background in this, first attempt.
Now the honest part. This is not a finished product. It's an experiment, it isn't officially launched, and things might break on you. That's exactly why he's opening it up.

THE SYSTEM
One sentence in, a finished script out
I dictate a video idea. Not a brief, not an outline. One sentence, the way it shows up in my head.
The one I ran this week was "voice dictation tools are the fastest way to go from beginner to expert in AI."
Claude takes it from there. It picks the platform and tells me why, gives me hook options, writes the full script, writes the caption, grades what it just wrote, and files the whole thing in Notion with recording notes. Speaking notes, camera notes, all of it.
Three pieces make it run. Project instructions, a skill, and a kickoff prompt you send once. The piece people skip is the Notion connector, so do that part first. Go into Claude, connect your Notion account, and the pipeline has somewhere to file the work. Without it, there's nowhere for the script to land.
